8 , 9 Notably, a prospective study conducted by Pascual et al observed a numerical increase in hepatotoxicity incidence (from 8% to 19%) when initial VCZ-C min exceeded 5.5 mg/L, however, this difference did not reach statistical significance. 10 Two recent studies have also demonstrated that there is no correlation between the steady-state VCZ-C min and hepatotoxicity, 4 , 11 suggesting that other factors may contribute to the development of hepatotoxicity.
