Over time, ICU-treated patients showed a significantly greater increase in SRI compared to non-ICU-treated patients ( p = 0.008); however, pairwise comparisons of trajectories between visits did not reach statistical significance (mean difference between 3–6 months and 1 year: 3.1% [95% CI − 0.40 to 6.6], p = 0.08).
