The decline in the ACDF cohort’s LOS may indicate improved surgeon proficiency, while the rise in the CDA cohort’s LOS may be due to increased use of multilevel CDA and broader surgeon adoption, both associated with longer operative times and extended postoperative recovery.[ 39 , 40 ] Readmission rates were the only other complication that showed a significant trend over time.
