nominally significantP < 0.01
Functional enrichment analysis of protein-coding genes mapped from shared loci revealed nominally significant associations with RNA polymerase II regulation and NF-κB signaling pathways (all P < 0.01), though these did not survive multiple testing correction, potentially reflecting limited statistical power from the modest number of overlapping genes ( n = 23) while suggesting biologically plausible mechanisms at the epithelial-immune interface [ 51 , 52 ] (Supplementary Digital Content Tables 5–6, available at: http://links.lww.com/JS9/F11 ).
