Compared with the mice in the DSS group, the shortening of the colon in the mice treated with BA intervention and 5-ASA was significantly improved ( Fig 1C and D ), and the mice showed a trend of recovery in body weight ( Fig 1B ), with the most significant effect in the DSS + BA-H group.
