Using a meta-regression model (Section 2, Model 1) where publication date is the sole moderator, we find that the date of publication demonstrates a negative trend that accounts for 91.8% of the heterogeneity between studies (B = −0.166 [−0.254, −0.078], Q m = 13.72, p = 0.0002, k ES = 14 effect sizes, n = 206, τ resid = 0.110, see Figure 2A and Table 3 ).
