Compared with the first tertile of UACR, non‐diabetics in the third tertile of UACR had 2.58 times higher risk of death; and each doubling of UACR was associated with 17% higher risk of death when evaluated, though this continuous association did not reach statistical significance ( Figure 2 , Table 3 ).
