We found racial/ethnic differences in these associations—gun violence exposure was significantly associated with experiencing high levels of depressive symptoms among non-Hispanic White (OR = 2.86, 95% CI = 1.91, 4.28) and Hispanic (OR = 1.98, 95% CI = 1.18, 3.33) sample, Among non-Hispanic Black participants, the association was positive but did not reach statistical significance at 0.05 level (OR = 1.46, 95% CI 0.99, 2.17).
