As shown in Table 3 , pre-contrast SI on mid-NAC MRI exhibited a slight increase in the pCR group, whereas it remained stable or decreased in the non-pCR group; however, this difference did not reach statistical significance. This observation may be explained by treatment-induced stromal alterations such as proteinaceous or hemorrhagic content, fibrosis, and necrotic debris, which shorten T1 relaxation time and elevate SI despite fat suppression.
