About 16.5% of neonates delivered via CS were fed in the first 2 hours compared to 22.8% in the VD group, though the difference did not reach statistical significance (p=0.308) The mean (SD) cord and 2 hours of life blood glucose levels in neonates delivered by C/S were significantly lower (68.7mg/dl & 62.5mg/dl) compared to their counterparts born vaginally (80.9mg/dl & 71.2 mg/dl) [p = <0.001] as shown in figures 1 and 2.
