In a randomized controlled trial examining the effects of Guanfacine XR in children and adolescents with anxiety disorders, no significant weight changes were observed after 12 weeks of Guanfacine XR use, but heart rate, systolic, and diastolic blood pressure decreased, although not to clinically significant levels 59 .
