Regarding Brucella , although the direct comparison did not reach statistical significance, pooled data indicated a markedly higher detection rate by molecular biology methods (1.5%) compared to traditional culture (0.0–0.2%), strongly suggesting the significant potential of molecular methods for diagnosing such specific infections.
