For the monolingual preschoolers, the results were also non-significant [ t (12) = −2.12, p = 0.055], however, as the p-value was 0.055 and was approaching significance, this may indicate that there is potentially an interference effect between trial types for monolingual preschoolers and should be tested further with a larger sample.
