In GC-content analyses, a clear trend emerged: Tracheophyta exhibited the highest GC content in all four datasets, with mean values of 0.427, 0.485, 0.438, and 0.358 for GC_all (all codon positions), GC_1 (first codon position), GC_2 (second codon position), and GC_3 (third codon position), respectively ( Supplemental Table 5 ).
