Several factors showed trending associations with increased risk of abnormal scar formation, including repeat CS (OR 0.74, 95% CI 0.48–1.13), vertical incision (OR 1.27, 95% CI 0.96–1.70), and skin stapler use (OR 1.25, 95% CI 0.90–1.74), although these did not reach statistical significance (Figure 3 ).
