The combined HRT [CEE with medroxyprogesterone acetate (MPA)] was associated with higher breast cancer incidence (HR, 1.28; 95% CI, 1.13–1.45; P < 0.001); breast cancer mortality was 35% higher, although this did not reach statistical significance (HR, 1.35; 95% CI, 0.94–1.95; P = 0.11).
