In an exploratory analysis (data not shown), patients who received regional nodal irradiation showed a tendency towards larger post-RT increases in most inflammatory indices compared with breast-only RT, although these differences did not reach statistical significance, likely due to the small number (8 out of 135) of patients treated with nodal fields.
