During the postoperative period, the mean hemoglobin level trended downwards through the third post-operative day (POD3) in both groups and continued to trend lower in the RTT group through the sixth post-operative day (POD6) (9.26 vs 8.83); but this did not reach statistical significance (p=0.074) (Table 2 ).
