The pooled analysis indicated a trend toward a higher risk of postoperative respiratory insufficiency among obese patients treated with full sternotomy; however, this difference did not reach statistical significance (OR: 2.15; 95% CI: 0.94–4.91; p = 0.07; Figure 2F ).
