In a secondary analysis, we found that a larger TLC was associated with a lower risk of incident myocardial infarction (HR: 0.87, 95%CI 0.76–0.99, p = 0.049), the results for FVC suggested a similar association but did not reach statistical significance (HR: 0.89, 95%CI 0.76–1.06, p = 0.195).
