In contrast, among those younger than 60 years, pre-frailty remained significantly associated with higher mortality (HR, 1.81; 95% CI, 1.01–3.25; P = .046), whereas frailty did not reach statistical significance (HR, 2.25; 95% CI, 0.80–3.98; P = .261), likely due to limited sample size and wide confidence intervals.
