We did not find a statistically significant association between sulfonylurea and osteoporosis; however, it showed a trend to associate with osteoporosis risk (HR 1.21, 95% CI 1.00 - 1.46), as sulfonylurea can increase the risk of falls and fragility fractures [ 12 ].
