Even though the absolute magnitude of G x y ( r ⃗ ) is rather small if compared to G z ( r ⃗ ) —for example, | G x y ( r ⃗ ) G z ( r ⃗ ) | < 5 · 10 − 3 for every point of the sample depicted in Figure 2 —the tilt induced in the direction of G ⃗ ( r ⃗ ) can be quite significant, triggering a correspondingly large change of θ B ( r ⃗ ) —up to 200 mdeg, for the data reported in Figure 2 (see also Panel e of Figure 3 , below).
