Proteomic analyses of the same sampled revealed a significant upregulation of CTSL1 (cathepsin L1; false discovery rate–adjusted P <0.05), whereas a set of proteins relating to cardiac remodeling (lectin-like oxidized low-density lipoprotein receptor 1), inflammation (matrix metalloproteinase 9), and diastolic dysfunction (fatty acid binding protein 4) showed a trend toward downregulation after ninerafaxstat treatment ( Figure S2B ).
