For patients undergoing minimally invasive surgery (three trials), the PVB group showed a trend toward a lower incidence of nausea and vomiting, reaching the threshold of statistical significance (OR = 0.50; 95% CI [0.25, 1.01]; P = 0.05). 3.4.3 Urinary retention A total of 11 studies ( 11 , 15 , 16 , 21 , 24 , 32 , 33 , 36 , 37 , 40 , 43 ) reported the incidence of postoperative urinary retention, comprising 405 patients in the PVB group and 397 patients in the TEA group.
