Although the sex difference between the ATL and RF-TC groups did not reach statistical significance (P = 0.051), and preliminary analyses indicated that sex did not significantly affect postoperative outcomes, future studies should strive for a more balanced sex distribution and incorporate the interaction between sex, education and treatment in the analysis to better understand the applicability and differential effects of the intervention.
