The mNSS scores, serum NSE concentrations, and S-100β protein concentrations increased after the injury, peaking on the 2nd day post-injury and then gradually decreasing, which suggested that the severity of neurological deficits after mTBI was most pronounced on the 2nd day post-injury and showed a trend toward recovery over time.
