While some literature suggests that puberty does not uniformly worsen epilepsy, with some patients experiencing improvements or remission, particularly in certain idiopathic epilepsies, 16 and even fewer seizures after menarche in some female cohorts, 17 our findings show a clear trend toward seizure exacerbation in this treatment‐resistant population They may be more sensitive to hormone changes because of their severe epilepsy.
