When digital air leak devices and clamping were used in combination (n = 24), rates of recurrent pneumothorax were the lowest within this data set, with no cases (0.0%) within 7 days of clamping and 1 case (4.2%) within 30 days; however, given the small number of patients treated with this approach, these differences did not reach statistical significance ( P = .17 and P = .29, Fisher exact test).
