After baseline sociodemographic factors, lifestyle factors, baseline CKD stage and comorbidities were adjusted for, Group II (HR=1.32, 95% CI (0.79 to 2.21)) showed elevated HR that did not reach statistical significance, whereas Group III (HR=1.67, 95% CI (1.09 to 2.54)) and Group IV (HR=2.16, 95% CI (1.32 to 3.54)) exhibited a significantly higher risk of dialysis compared with Group I ( table 2 ).
