And the enrichment of the “Wnt signaling pathway” itself did not reach statistical significance in either GO (GO:0016055, padj = 0.099) or KEGG (hsa04310, padj = 0.315) analyses, we noted that among the five candidate targets identified from the intersection analysis, DKK1—a gene with significant upregulation (|log 2 FC| > 1, padj < 0.05)—is a well-established secreted antagonist of the canonical Wnt/β-catenin pathway [ 30 , 31 ].
