In the paired comparison using McNemar’s test ( Supplementary Table S2 ), active thermography outperformed passive thermography in sensitivity ( p < 0.0001), whereas the difference in specificity did not reach statistical significance ( p = 0.25), likely reflecting the limited number of benign lesions.
