In sensitivity analyses, treating RV/TLC and TLC as both quartile-based and continuous predictors, higher TLC was significantly associated with absolute declines in FEV 1 and FVC over follow-up whereas the corresponding associations with changes in FEV 1 /FVC were weaker and did not reach statistical significance in the continuous models (Supplementary Tables 1 and 2 ).
