Phosphorus exhibited moderate but consistent effects across all strips (β = 2.15–2.46 kg ha− 1 per kg P; 95% CI: 0.50–4.25; t = 2.68–2.87; p = 0.009–0.014; R 2 = 0.25–0.27), while potassium responses varied substantially by fertility level—non-significant in Strip I (β = 1.20 ± 0.88, p = 0.19, R 2 = 0.08) but highly significant in Strip II (β = 3.20 ± 0.78, p < 0.001, R 2 = 0.43) and moderately significant in Strip III (β = 2.21 ± 0.87, p = 0.018, R 2 = 0.23).
