However, when applying this threshold, no significant association was found between high MAP4 expression and late recurrence in the NTUH cohort, although a slight trend toward increased risk was observed (HR = 1.57, 95% CI = 0.76–3.27, p = 0.221) ( Figure 3D ).
High MAP4 expression in liver tumor tissues showed a significant positive association with the presence of multiple tumors ( p = 0.042), and a trend toward association with satellite nodules ( p = 0.082), and early recurrence ( p = 0.074), although the latter two did not reach statistical significance likely due to limited sample size ( Table 2 ).
