Although this did not reach statistical significance in multivariate analysis, the dose-response trend (regular exercise > occasional exercise > no exercise) still holds potential clinical significance, reflecting the positive impact of exercise on protection motivation through improved blood glucose control and enhanced self-efficacy, consistent with other studies. 28 It indicates a robust correlation pattern between exercise behavior and protective motivation, which has not become an independent predictor.
