Specifically, the abundance of this receptor increased significantly, by 4.88‐fold, in the gastrodermis only of anemones exposed to 31°C versus 25°C (Tukey HSD post hoc test, p = 5.6 × 10 −5 ), though at the initial 34°C sampling point it was significantly more abundant (5.16‐fold) in the epidermis but not the gastrodermis, even though it was trending towards significance in the latter (Tukey HSD post hoc test, p = 3.3 × 10 −3 and p = 0.07, respectively).
