In a French multicenter study, after a mean follow-up of 7 years, 74% of patients still had a functioning AUS (i.e., continence maintained) [ 70 ], and bladder neck cuff placement showed a trend toward longer device survival without explantation than bulbar cuff placement (median device survival 24.5 years vs. 18.5 years).
