Regarding hospital bed capacity, using institutions with no inpatient beds as the reference category, hospitals with <200 beds (OR = 2.47, 95% CI 0.32–19.00), 200–499 beds (OR = 4.12, 95% CI 0.54–31.16), and ≥500 beds (OR = 7.04, 95% CI 0.93–53.35) showed increased odds of adverse/sentinel events; however, these associations did not reach statistical significance.
