When comparing the survival proportions of mice injected with serum from adjuvanted participants versus non-adjuvanted participants, we observed a trend for better protection in the adjuvanted group based on all clinical readout parameters, although this difference did not reach statistical significance (78% versus 55%) (Supplementary Fig. 7c ).
