When stratified by SARS-CoV-2 infection status, individuals who had COVID-19 during the study period ( n = 37) exhibited higher CD4 concentrations (median [IQR], 999 [769-1221] × 10 cells/mm3) than did those who had had COVID-19 before the study period ( n = 3; median [IQR], 836 [533-1075] ×10 cells/mm 3 ) ( Table 4 ), although this difference did not reach statistical significance ( P = .34).
