showed a trendP = .06
Analysis showed a trend towards higher levels of indole-3-acetic acid (IAA), a known AhR agonist 14 , 16 in patients with AH vs AL ( P = .06) ( Supplementary Table 2 ), but no difference in the other metabolites related to the indole, kynurenine (indoleamine 2,3-dioxygenase [IDO]), or serotonin (5-hydroxytryptamine [5-HT]) pathway or in Trp itself ( Supplementary Table 2 ) between patients with AL and AH.
