While the youngest (1st tertile) and oldest (3rd tertile) subgroups showed virtually no correlation between age and performance (ρ = −0.04, p = 0.89 and ρ = −0.23, p = 0.66), the middle (2nd) tertile demonstrated a moderate negative correlation (ρ = −0.52, p = 0.29), although it did not reach statistical significance.
