At day 120 post-burn, Rose Bengal treatment demonstrated a significantly higher mean normalized fluorescence ratio for pan-macrophage expression (0.80 ± 0.07) compared with PBS (0.62 ± 0.10; p = 0.0034), whereas the difference compared with hydrogel (0.68 ± 0.07; p = 0.0628) did not reach statistical significance.
