For TTP a highly significant negative associations with CBV (Spearman’s rho − 0.33, p < 0.001) and F (Spearman’s rho − 0.28, p = 0.001) were observed while association with Ki (Spearman’s rho − 0.20, p = 0.02) was weaker.

The findings are partially in agreement with a recent study reporting that early TBR from first 2 minutes was strongly correlated with CBV measured by DSC (R 2 = 0.79), while correlation with late TBR (20–40 min) in that study did not reach statistical significance (R 2 = 0.08, p = 0.11) [ 48 ].
