Although not statistically significant, MPA patients showed a trend towards an increased risk of thromboembolic events (pulmonary embolism: HR 1.16, 95% CI 1.01 -1.33; deep vein thrombosis: HR 1.17, 95% CI 1.03-1.32) and the risk of heart failure compared to GPA (HR 1.15, 95% 1.03-1.27) ( Figure 3 ).
