3 EFFICACY OF SKIN PROTECTION CREAMS, SKIN CARE PRODUCTS, AND SKIN CLEANSERS A recent Cochrane review with meta‐analysis of randomized controlled trials on primary prevention of irritant hand eczema demonstrated that regular application of skin care products, either alone (relative risk [RR] 0.71; 95% confidence interval [CI] 0.46–1.09) or in combination with PCs (RR 0.68; 95% CI 0.33–1.42), showed a tendency toward risk reduction, although this effect did not reach statistical significance.
