A 2019 meta‐analysis in adults ≥50 years old showed that creatine supplementation significantly reduced body fat percentage (−0.55%, P = 0.04), and although the reduction in absolute fat mass did not reach statistical significance (−0.50 kg, P = 0.13), the change may still be clinically relevant (Forbes et al., 2019 ).
