Simple slopes analysis revealed theoretically illuminating patterns: peer influence effects were minimal among students with low social media usage (-1 SD: β = 1.23, SE = 0.89, t = 1.38, p = 0.168, d = 0.29) but substantial and highly significant among students with high social media usage (+ 1 SD: β = 5.67, SE = 1.34, t = 4.23, p < 0.001, d = 1.02).
