In the AML19 study, AML patients were randomized to receive Tludarabine, Cytarabine, Idarubicin, and G-CSF (FLAG-IDA) or DA (Daunorubicin/Cytarabine): relapse rate (RR) was significantly lower with FLAG-IDA than with DA (three-year RR 26% or 68%, respectively), and there was a clear trend of improved OS for patients with FLAG-IDA compared to DA (three-year OS 66% vs. 37%, respectively) [ 28 ].
